Board appoints artistic chief for world-renowned arts centre as CEO of WKCDA |
Following an extensive search lasting several months, during which it interviewed a number of highly qualified candidates, the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority recently announced that it has appointed Mr Graham Sheffield as its chief executive officer. Mr Sheffield has served as Artistic Director for the successful and popular Barbican Centre in London, one of Europe’s largest integrated arts centre, for 15 years.

Graham Sheffield is as excited as a schoolboy in a candy store when you talk to him about his upcoming role as Chief Executive Officer of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. To be more true to Mr Sheffield’s heart, though, perhaps a better metaphor might be that he’s more excited than a wine connoisseur in the world’s largest wine cellar!

Findings of Public Engagement Exercise place importance on ambience, talent development, local characteristics and green design |
On 31 March 2010, WKCDA released the Report on the Analysis of Views for the Stage 1 Public Engagement (PE) Exercise for the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), which encapsulates the views, expectations and aspirations of the public as well as stakeholders in the arts and cultural and other relevant sectors for the planning of the District.
